The Port of Amrun is located on the Western Cape York Peninsula just south of Weipa. Dry-bulk vessels anchor at a combined anchorage for Ports of Weipa and Amrun.
Pilotage is compulsory for berthing and departing vessels via pilot boat at the Amrun Pilot Boarding Ground.
