Helicopter Marine Pilot Transfers
Ports around the world are increasingly using helicopters to transfer marine pilots to vessels. This allows pilots to board a vessel more easily, efficiently, and in tougher weather conditions.
Auriga Aviation has a team of specialised aviation professionals in six ports around Australia providing Helicopter Marine Pilot Transfers (HMPT).
Leading the way
Auriga has the world’s first CASA approval for HMPT operations using Night Vision Goggles (NVG) and winch operating services.
Our aircraft
Year after year, we successfully execute over 16,000 HMPT missions utilising modern, technologically advanced aircraft.
At Auriga, we have a fleet of Airbus H135 and H145 helicopters. These light twin-category aircraft are our choice for their efficiency, technology, and advanced safety features.
These two Airbus helicopters feature the renowned Helionix avionics technology, including an integrated 4-axis autopilot and three large Multi-Function Displays. These offer the flight crew superb operational situational awareness, increased mission flexibility, and safety, thereby significantly reducing the Pilot’s workload.
Ensuring Aircraft Readiness
We offer in-house maintenance, repair, and overhaul capabilities. The team utilises a continuous maintenance program that breaks maintenance work packs into smaller increments. This negates the need for larger ‘periodic base maintenance’ events, meaning that our aircraft can remain operationally available.
With our CASA qualifications for NVG and winch operations, Auriga Group is proud to be called in for Search & Rescue missions when required by Australia's Joint Rescue Coordination Centre and Australian Maritime and Safety Authority.
The Auriga difference.
Auriga provides redundancy for pilots, aircrew officers and engineers, as we are able to quickly mobilise resources as and when required to ensure service integrity.
Auriga Aviation maintains CAR 217 and CASR 141/142 Training Organisations to conduct comprehensive training, including Type Ratings on all aircraft, Instrument Proficiency Checks (IPC), and Line Operations Checks (LPC) on all Aviator Group Pilots—who are all required to hold an Instrument Rating.
At Auriga, we take an integrated approach, prioritising technical, operational, and financial outcomes. Our ultimate goal is to reach the pinnacle of customer satisfaction, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to our clients and partners.
